    Schools Now Enrolling

The Long Beach Unified School District is now accepting applications for enrollment.  The Bryant School Office is available to assist via phone through June 19, and spaces for next fall can fill up quickly. While school offices are closed for in-person support, staff are available to complete enrollment over the phone.

Enrollment is required regardless of whether the family is interested in remote, or distance learning for the 2020-21 School Year.  Contact our school at (562) 498-3802 or (562) 317-4721 (alternate number during closure) for more information.

    New Enrollment

If you are enrolling a new student, these are the following required documents:

    *Birth Certificate

    *Immunization Record

*Two utility bills showing your home address; and

*A copy of the child's IEP, if applicable

         Great Start to the Year!

School begins at 9:00 am.  An 8:55 a.m. warning bell sounds for students to line up so teachers can pick up their students from line and be ready to learn.  Please plan to arrive early to avoid traffic at the front of the school during drop-off and pick-up on Fountain St.  Avoid double parking at the front of our school.  There is no parking in the designated bus zones and cars will be cited for these violations.

A school meal is available for purchase or free/reduced for those who qualify in the cafeteria for breakfast or lunch.

    Dropping Off Lunches

    Orange Lunch Bag

We understand that at times some students' lunches are not ready or available to be packed for school every morning.  We need your help in minimizing any disruptions to your child's learning and maximizing their instructional time during the school day.

When a student's lunch is dropped off at the office, our office staff calls the classroom to notify the teacher and the student comes to the office to retrieve it.  One phone call to a classroom causes an interruption to instruction and sidetracks students and teachers.  Imagine the amount of interrupted time and negative impact  to teaching and learning when more than one lunch is dropped off to a particular classroom.

    How can you help?

*Let your child know you will be dropping off their lunch in the office.

*At the beginning of their lunchtime, the student comes to the office to pick up their lunch.

    Thank you for your support!

    We are the...

We need VIPs at Bryant!  Get involved in our school events like the Fall Festival, Fundraisers, Read Across America Week, Scholastic Book Fairs, Fundraisers, Career Day, and others.  These events build a sense of community as we come together and share in celebrating school pride.  It takes a team to make this happen for our students and we need you!

If you are interested in helping, please drop by our office for more information and to complete an application.  Our teachers always welcome the addition of helping hands in the classroom.

All volunteers must complete an application and cleared as a VIP in order to volunteer in classrooms, assist with school activities, and to serve as a chaperone on classroom field trips.

If you have any questions, please contact our school office at (562) 498-3802.

    Traffic Safety Reminders

    No Parking sign

It is important that we work together as a team - students, teachers, staff and families to help maintain a safe school at Bryant.

Our school works with our city’s traffic patrol officers geared towards ensuring each of our students arrive to school and return home safely.  Here are reminders towards that goal.

    1)  DO NOT park in marked red curb zones.

    2) Students are not to be dropped off in the middle of the street.  Do not double park when dropping off or picking up your child.

    3) Observe the speed limit ~ 15MPH in school zoned areas.

    4) Be respectful to our neighbors and avoid blocking driveways

The Long Beach Police Department and the City's Parking Enforcement Officers monitors the area to support our traffic safety and parking enforcement efforts.  Drivers will be cited for violations.  We thank you for your support and cooperation in ensuring the safety of our Bryant School Community.
